I came across your page while looking for a solution to this same problem. I found a slightly easier thing to try first:
Switch cleaner spray! (Servisol). Open the case and just use the small holes in the side of the micro-switch to inject some switch cleaner fluid, work the switch a few times, leave to dry out (20+ min) and then it might be just fine. Mine works perfectly again. Cheers, Colin
Hi Colin, contact spray might help, yes. I try to avoid it in such cases as many of them are slightly corrosive. They might help at first but may cause more damage in the long term… Kai
